H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa and H.E. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche

We should bear in mind the great wave of excellent activity of the successive incarnations of the Jamgon Kongtruls - from the first incarnation, the supreme and sublime Lodro Thaye, whose birth was prophesised by the Victorious One, until the third incarnation, Lodro Chokyi Senge.

The present incarnation in particular, the young Fourth Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, has taken rebirth, been recognised, and is engaged in education through listening and reflecting. In the future, his heart-wish and activities will become an important focus for the attention and consideration og many devoted followers in numerous countries.

I, therefore, rejoice in the compilation and publication of this book, entitled "The Light of Dharma" by the Jamgon Kongtrul Labrang. It is my inspiration and wish that this brief history will serve to give rise to confidence in the life stories of the lineage masters.
