A Brief History of How Pullahari Came About
The monastery building was completed in February 1992 and was blessed by the third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. On April 26, 1992, the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche dissolved his mind in parinirvana. However, he had left behind his instructions and wishes to his devoted monks and disciples along with the wealth of his legacy.
![]() Stupa Temple of the 3rd Jamgon Kongtrul at Pullahari, Nepal The Stupa Temple of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, the retreat centre and all the other projects and activities at Pullahari were completed after the third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche's parinirvana. They were accomplished in accordance with his vision and blessings. Today, 2002, the fourth Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche resides at Pullahari Monastery with 200 monks in the monastery and 19 in the retreat centre.
