Tsakhang Gompa is among the cluster of three monasteries (Tsakhang, Sumdo and Gomoche Gompas) under Shey Gompa, the seat of Dolpo Shel-ri Rinpoche. It is situated at more than 16,000 feet above sea-level in Shey, Upper Dolpo.
